Eielson AFB, AK Housing and Relocation Information
The military provided two options for the use of your Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH)
The first option is living on base. Your second option is using your BAH to rent or buy a house off base.
- The Housing Management Office (907) 377-1840 should be your first point of contact after receiving moving orders and can answer all of your housing questions or concerns.
On Base Housing
The Unaccompanied Housing Office (907) 377-2727 is reserved for airmen ranked E4 and below. The barracks consists of private sleeping quarters that includes a bed, desk, dresser, entertainment center, nightstand and shelves. There is also a day room that has cable TV, WiFi, pool tables, Foosball along with vending machines.
Eielson AFB on-base housing is privatized. To check availability for your rank and family size, contact Corvias Military Homes - Eielson (907) 302-2170, a pet friendly community that offers washer and dryer hookups, bark park, ice skating rink, community garden, lawn care and more. Keep in mind that there is a process involved in renting on-base housing, which may include wait times.

Eielson AFB is about half an hour from Fairbanks in good weather - which is not present much of the year. Fairbanks is in central Alaska, with cold, dark winters and mild but very sunny summers, good hunting and fishing, and a lot of indoor activities.
About Eielson AFB
Eielson Air Force Base is located near Fairbanks, Alaska and is instrumental in deploying fighter and bomber units for defending Alaskan airspace. The base is home to the 354th Fighter Wing which provides close air support and training for combat in a simulated environment.
